The QNEW command works similar to that of the NEW command with one slight change or twist to the command. Right out of the box QNEW works exactly like NEW does. However, there is a setting located under the OPTIONS dialog box that allows you to set a specific template to be used with the QNEW command. The steps shown in tutorial link outline how to setup a template to be used for the QNEW command.
