I was extremely annoyed when it took me a whole week to come up with an acceptable engine for button mashing, as there are barely any tutorials/posts about it anywhere! I finally cracked it today, and am so ecstatic that i decided to post this on multiple threads on multiple forums. Its probably so simple you'd laugh, but im no flash expert. this is the alternate key button mashing method, as its alot more reactive than the one key mashing code i have. my aim was to increase the count once when the button is pressed, and not when it is being held down. this was a real headache. i am happy with my end product though, and plan to base my future games on it.
