This tutorial provide steps to create realistic water ripple effect using photoshop predefined filter.

Open a new document ( i have used 400 * 400px ) with black background.

Now check whether your foreground colour is white and background colour is black in the Colour palette. Follow below steps

1.Select Filter > Render > Clouds

2.Select Filter > Blur > Radial blur

3. Select Filter > Sketch > Bas relief

4.Select Filter > Artistic > Plastic wrap

5. Select Filter > Sketch > Chrome

Press Ctrl + U to open saturation panel .

Now select colorize , then set hue to 210 -220 ,set saturation to 15 .This results in following digital ripple effect
