This tutorial is inspired by Sheppard Fairey’s famous political poster series for the Obama campaign in the US. We’ll be showing you how to create this style of design. We’ll start with basic image editing techniques in Photoshop to get our guide layers setup, and then we’ll jump into Illustrator. You don’t need any fancy equipment to do this. I used an older mouse that still has the rubber ball.

In Illustrator CS3 there are several options to easily change and edit any artwork to grayscale.

An easy way to get abstract shapes in Illustrator. Use an artistic Brush stroke, and take the stroke size way beyond normal.

Today we’re going to be doing a very simple yet very appealing mountain sunset tutorial. You can see the finished product pictured above. To create it you’ll need Adobe Illustrator 9, CS, CS2, or CS3, and of course to read this article. It shouldn’t take more then 15 minutes for almost anyone to finish.
