Torso From Profile Splines - Rhino 3D tutorial


There are a few ways to model a basic torso. One such way is using the loft command with 4 or more splines. This tutorial will provide a quick look at a way to make a basic torso using loft, and how to split to make collars as well as texturing.

A cool way to make impressive objects. Without knowing the way to do this, I would ask myself "damn how was it done?". With Rhino of corse. Could be usefull to make some particular object as some row of post, maybe some wheels staples or ...cartoon hairs... any idea?

A nurbs curve can be converted to an usuall 3DS studio spline. This is pretty cool because you`ll be able to use the very complete set of Rhino curve features and use them for example in max with surface tool (surfaces from network of curves) or just to make the curves renderable without any surface creation.

Here is a way to build some nice models. This car isn`t very interresting but it`s just to show how to do. The wire rendering option can only give linear wire, so with this you can do some curved wire but it will be slower than the wire rendering and there is a limit. You can`t put some thousand of curves.
