Material Linking In Photoworks 2 (video) - SolidWorks tutorial
If you are using a common PhotoWorks Material such as `Metallic Green Paint` in multiple part and assembly documents then you should link the material to a file. If for instance your paint supplier changes the shade of the paint you only need to change the linked material file and PhotoWorks propagates the changes to any part or assembly that contains the linked material.

When working with eDrawings you can save as a web page and post it onto your website without the eDrawing user interface. To achieve this create an eDrawing. In the eDrawing application select File, Save as, pick htm as the file type and create a web page. When the web page has been generated open it in Internet Explorer, right-click and select view source.
One of the best places to start working with the SolidWorks API (application programming interface) is to use its macro recording capability. When you record a macro in SolidWorks, you are able to record the Basic code required to accomplish many tasks. There are some limitations to what is recorded in a macro, but most of the basic functionality is automatic.
