Lesson 20 - Variable Section Sweeps
A variable section sweep is an advanced sweep feature that, instead of maintaining a constant section shape and size along the length of the trajectory, is varying along the trajectory by specifying additional trajectories that push or pull the section as it goes.
Lesson 36 - View Manager
The view manager is accessed through the Menu Bar, using View, View Manager. To demonstrate this functionality, we will use the Assembly1 model that we worked with earlier. Open up this assembly, and then go to the View Manager. It will look like the following.
Advanced Features > Flatten Form Features > Demo (with Video)
Model the extruded holes and the stamped stiffener features as shown in the bracket below. Create Form features to accomplish this task, using both the Reference and Copy options.
Saving Pro/e Models
You can save the Pro/E drawing you are currently working on at any time. When you have a part model that is associated with the drawing (i.e. the part you are creating features in) it will also get saved to disk anytime you save the drawing.
This Lesson teaches you how to create a new part and add your first few Features to create a solid model. Solids are created from a series of discrete Features. Features are created using many different methods, but are fundamentally defined by extruding (a.k.a. sweeping) a 2D profile through 3D space. This sweep may be in a linear direction over a specific distance or even revolved about an axis (as shown below).
