Animating Falling Water
Animating Falling Water
This tutorial will show one technique for animating falling water, ( like a fountain or waterfall ) in Bryce 5 ( can also be accomplished in Bryce 4 ).
The tutorial will use imported objects for a statue and water object. The animation will be of a statue with water flowing out of a vase. A reflective environment will also be used in the scene.

Animating a Water Drop
Animating a Water Drop
This tutorial uses Bryce 5, to animate a drop of water coming out of a water tap.
To simulate the clinging effect water has, metaballs will be used. The metaballs will have a clear reflective water material applied to them. For a convincing animation the water will need to reflect the environment around it. One way to accomplish this ( without building a large scene ) is to create a reflective environment.

Animating a Lightning Bolt
Animating a Lightning Bolt
This tutorial will show one way to animate a lightning bolt in Bryce ( 5 or 4 ).
It uses Bryce 5, Photo Impact 5.

This type of animation is done using a 2D plane as an image object. Although Bryce does not support importing avi or QT animations to use as a background or material, the same effect can be done by creating an image sequence and importing it using the Picture Library as an image material applied to the same 2D plane.
