Sharing Files The Pdf Way, Part I
There are times when sharing source documents is required for effective referencing and interrogation, and there are times when you want to share drawings and project information more securely. When you wish to share information for hard-copy output, review, and markup, PDF is a great choice. MicroStation lets you produce individual PDF documents from DGN and DWG drawings as well as standard Microsoft Office applications or combine these document types into one composite PDF document.
Take Advantage Of Excel named Ranges When Importing
When using Microsoft Office Importer to import Excel data into a design file, you highlight and copy a range of Excel cells to the Windows clipboard and then import the clipboard data into the design file. Doing so causes the absolute row numbers and column numbers of the imported cells to be stored in the design file. For example, a cell range of B1:D25 means the data copied is in the cells contained in columns B through D and rows 1 through 25.
