AutoCAD ThinkDesign Tutorials
We hope that you will enjoy our AutoCAD ThinkDesign tutorials. Feel free to contact us if you would like to be a tutorial hero and contribute your own AutoCAD ThinkDesign tutorial to our site. Thank you !
This tutorial walks you through using the Global Bend command. Instead of just bending the solid model, we are going to show how we can modify specific dimensions. We will also learn how to use the Global Radial Bend command. In this tutorial we will make the shape of a car nose little more tapered.

In this Web tutorial, we will create a mower cover for a kids toy lawn mower. We will learn curve creation, how to create different types of surfaces, what the effects are when we create an associative solid and filleting as a solid instead of surfaces. We will also learn the concept of using associative solids for booleans instead of trimming surfaces, using profiles to add holes, using the Pattern command, and finally modification of original curves to change the solid when finished.

Thinkdesign tutorial covers what Smart Objects are and how to create your own custom Smart Objects, think3, September 12, 2003

Think3 tutorial explains how to manage solids from different profiles and how to manage draft angles starting from different draft solids, then joining them with Booleans, think3, January 13, 2004

This task will show you how to generate 3D curves from the available 2D drawings and how to analyse them. The final objective of this webtraining task is to generate a 3D profile of a chair that will be completed using the surface Modeling techniques.

In this task, you will learn how to create a plastic coffee maker housing using solid modeling, surfaces modeling, Boolean and GSM techniques.

In this exercise, we will introduce you to surfacing techniques that we`ll use to model a biscuit container. This exercise will familiarize you with the methods of evaluating the shape and create 3D form of the object. Our goal is not to create an accurate model but know the tools and the ways to use them inside thinkdesign. In this task, you will use curve creation and curve editing commands to create a framework on which we`ll build our surfaces. We will also take advantage of some of thinkdesign solid modeling capabilities to complete the model.

think3 tutorial covers a new feature of thinkdesign 8.0 called "Derived Model" and other new modeling techniques, think3, January 14, 2004

This tutorial will guide you through the creation of a model from a digital image or sketch. The Model we will be creating is of a whimsical cat that also doubles as a bottle opener. We will use lines, curves and basic surfacing techniques to create our model. We will also utilize a capped surface and we`ll finish this task off with a Global Bend command.

In this task, you`ll learn about curve and surface fitting while creating this racing sailboat. You`ll also learn about NURBS definition and continuity within a curve or surface. This is a high level task intended for those of you with a good understanding of surfacing and would like to learn more about making lighter, high quality curves and surfaces.
