The techniques for laying out a drawing are described here. Creating and positioning of different view types including sectioned views is covered. Dimensioning is NOT covered.

-D Notes are displayed and cleared from the screen automatically when the step to which the note belongs is displayed or cleared. When a step is active or is being used in a drawing step, a 3-D note created for the step will be displayed. When the step is no longer displayed, the note also is not displayed. Creation of 3-D notes is the default when creating a note in a step.

When you choose the Open or New option, you can retrieve or create a drawing respectively. These two options function in exactly the same manner as creating a part. When you create or retrieve a drawing, the system automatically enters the Drawing Mode.
